Atsu has more than three decades of experience working with NGO's and the private sector both in Ghana and abroad. Atsu has
earned a reputation for building successful multidisciplinary teams, developing and implementing strategic plans,
forging productive relationships with government leaders and institutional donors and leading in results oriented
field implementation activities. He has worked with several international NGOs including CARE International, Rainforest
Alliance, EnterpriseWorks/VITA and Relief International in varied senior positions as either Country or Project Director.
He has worked in the development field in a wide range of sectors including agriculture, forestry, light/cottage industry,
economic tree crops, renewable energy, water and sanitation, and ecosystem services products and enterprise development,
among others. His extensive experience in organizational strengthening and adult trainer for local organizations and
producer groups comprises a broad range of areas including commercial agriculture, biodiversity conservation, market
analysis, and negotiation between the public and private sectors, as well as certification, monitoring and evaluation.
He holds an MSc in NGO Management & Studies, a BSc in Agriculture and a Diploma in Education - all from the University
of Cape Coast, Ghana, in addition to other professional certificates including a Diploma in Social Entrepreneurship
from the University of Santa Clara, USA.
